Post-Christmas Airsoft War!

We're having a war on Tuesday the 27th from 1PM to 4PM! It's at the usual location (contact me for details), and we're planning on having a blast! Bring all the guns ya got, and let's go to war in the post-Christmas world.

I got more mags for my Skullfrog M4, and extra ammo and such (an early Christmas present).

See ya there!

Another War

So we had another war today, about 11 people showed up (pretty nice for the smaller group that we are). Had a blast, did some CTF, Team Elimination, etc.

What I'd really like to talk about though is how to move onward and

NCAT Training Manual

For new members (and us), it would be nice to make a NCAT (pronounced en-cat) Training Manual. I've gotten this list together of stuff to include so check it out:

Tactics
Signals
Game List
Teamwork
Gun Maintenance
Rank System
General Rules

If there's anything else (I know I've pry missed a bunch of topics), let me know.

Thanks,

M4 & Team Info

I (Ghost) recently purchased a G&P Navy Seal Skullfrog M4, and love it. ROF, halo sights, etc... I haven't upgraded anything yet, but am looking into it. Comment below with what guns you own!

On another note, if anyone on the team (or who would like to be on the team), has an idea for a logo, let us know. I will email you guys as well...

Until next time,

Homemade Airsoft "Flamethrower"

For a while now I've been thinking about building an airsoft flamethrower. The propulsion concept I have found in various places online, so that part is covered. It will have backpack tanks for the air pressure... You know what, just take a look at this picture :-)

That is what I would like to make an airsoft model of... 'nuff said.

Airsoft Foil Grenade

I recently saw a tennis ball launcher that used aluminum foil as a one-time valve. They would pressurize the chamber, and when the pressure was high enough, it would break the foil and shoot. I thought that if you pressurized a small chamber with the foil sealing one end of it; then have a nail break that on impact and you have an impact-activated grenade.

So here's what we got:
The orange rectangle is the 1/2" pvc where the bbs go. The diagonal lines at the bottom of that show where the foil seal is. The blue rectangle with the red tip represents a nail, which is attached to the bottom yellow det-plate. The contraption is pressurized through the air valve (purple). At the base there are the two small green things, those will probably be small springs to help prevent accidental detonation. At lastly, there is the big gray rectangle, which is the 3" chamber.

Once I get parts for this I'll build it. My biggest concern is the seal where the nail goes through the pvc... Might glue a O-ring inside of the 3" cap.

For those interested, the parts list goes something like this:

1/2" x ~5" PVC Pipe
1/2" x 3" Bushing Reducer
3" Cap
3" x ~4" PVC Pipe
Air Valve
Springs
Wood
Big Nail (~7" long)

Thanks for reading!

What to Bring to a War

So the big day is coming up, and you're just about clueless on what all to bring. Don't worry, I've been there before and so I've come up with a list. If I'm missing anything, comment below or email me and it will be added. Enough talking, here you go!

Ghost's New Gun

Well Ghost just got his new sniper rifle and he's really happy with it. It is a Remington 700 style rifle. The full metal guts are robust, and the cocking mechanism is light, especially for being a 400-470fps gun. It is lightweight, which makes it very portable.

Here's a pic of his gun:

And a pic of the trigger/bolt area along with his doggy:

What airsoft gun(s) do you have? Comment below and let us know!

Thanks!

Airsoft Sniping

Airsoft sniping – the position most people want to do. Sure you can have a 500FPS scoped sniper rifle and all the rest of the gear, but that doesn't mean you know HOW to properly be a sniper. I've been in a game where a fellow had a 500FPS rifle, but he was using it like you would full auto – running around, standing up, and then he wonders why he is getting shot all the time.

Being a sniper is two things, equipment, and a mindset. We'll discuss equipment first, and later take a look into the mind of a sniper. Ready to get started? Alright we're off!
